Ansonia Clock Co. 8-Day \"Lindell\" Dark Wood Gingerbread Mantel ClockWORKS-- repair tag on back is from 01/2002 by City Clock Co. in Nebraska.Has one metal KeyClock is definitely Antique with some wear. Missing piece on top. Not noticeable. See pix. BUT IT WORKS!!!
This is one of Ansonia’s pressed wood mantel clocks. The clock is in good condition with an early and probably original finish. Original paper sticker on back is fully legible. Dated 1896 with genuine trade mark.
Foil sticker on back suggests it was repaired in Nebraska at the City Clock Co.
The clock WORKS!!! Keeps accurate time, chimes correct number of times hourly and once on the half hour. The pendulum matches the dial surround and front glass (gold paint trim a bit worn) so I’m assuming that all of these pieces are original.
Wood has wear marks and a few chips. I cleaned the wood but still needs a good cleaning & polishing.
See the photos and video for best description & measurements.
It’s a great looking clock and it’s priced to sell at a fair market value!
(I called the City Clock Company in Lincoln, Nebraska to ask about the clock & repairs. Repair # is worn so the only thing I learned is that they worked on it in January 2002.)
This item will be extra carefully wrapped for shipping, therefore it will be double boxed with as much filler necessary to protect it.
