Ancient Egyptian Antique Rare 4 Canopic Jars Sons Of Horus Pharaonic Egyptian BCDescription
The canopus is a set of vessels that were used in ancient Egypt to preserve the internal organs of the dead during the mummification process. The canopus represents the four sons of Horus, who were considered the protectors of the mummified organs, and each one of them was symbolized by a special symbol. Here is a brief about them:
1. **Imsety**: He represented the human being, and was the protector of the liver. He was depicted in the form of a human wearing a crown.
2. **Duamutef**: He represented the leopard, and was the protector of the stomach. He is often depicted with a leopard\'s head.
3. **Hapy**: He represented the frog, and was the protector of the lungs. He is usually depicted with a frog\'s head.
4. **Qebehsenuef**: He represented the falcon, and was the protector of the intestines. He is depicted with a falcon\'s head.
These canopies were placed in a special box called the \"canopus box\", and were usually buried with the deceased in the tomb. This practice reflected the ancient Egyptians\' religious beliefs about the afterlife and the importance of preserving internal organs.Size : As Shown At Pictures. Our Guarantee πThat the Item Will Delivered to You As Shown in Pictures Therefore we recommend that you see the picture well and then take your decision and take your responsibility.
