One of the harder-to-find Spider-Man facsimiles—and one of the greatest VENOM covers ever put on an Amazing Spider-Man comic.
This is the 2020 Amazing Spider-Man #347 Facsimile Edition, recreating the classic 1991 Spider-Man vs. Venom issue by David Michelinie and Erik Larsen. Marvel released this facsimile on January 29, 2020, reproducing the original comic—including its vintage advertisements.
And let’s be serious: the COVER is why you want this book.
Erik Larsen gives us an enormous, drooling Venom holding Spider-Man’s skull while delivering the wonderfully twisted “Alas, poor Spider-Man—I killed him well!” Shakespeare/Hamlet gag. It’s pure early-’90s Venom: huge teeth, enormous tongue, slime everywhere and completely over the top.
This isn’t one of the facsimiles you see stacked everywhere. ASM #347 facsimile copies have become noticeably harder to find, and at the time of this listing there aren’t other copies showing up in my search.
This copy is NM condition and presents beautifully.
If you’re building a collection of the great Spider-Man/Venom covers, this is one that belongs next to ASM #300, #316 and #346. And unlike an original #347, this facsimile gives you the classic presentation in a sharp modern copy you can actually enjoy displaying.
Amazing Spider-Man #347. Venom. Erik Larsen. An absolutely insane cover. And a facsimile you don’t see every day.
You will receive the exact NM comic pictured.
