Adlai Stevenson 19562 Presidential Campaign 4 Inch Diameter Pin Back Button For Sale

I have for sale one of the 1956 Presidential campaign pin back buttons used for democrat Adlai Stevenson\'s presidential campaign. The button is four inches in diameter and in a high-grade circulated condition, with no damage. Stevenson was a politician & diplomat. He was the 31st governor of the state of Illinois from 1949-1953, and he was the Ambassador to the United Nations from 1961-1965. He was the democratic nominee for president in both the 1952 & 1956 elections and lost both times to Dwight D. Eisenhower. His V.P. candidate in 1956 was senator Estes Kefauver of Tennessee. The button in the center shows Stevenson & Kefauver with their first names and reads VOTE STRAIGHT DEMOCRATIC - GENERAL ELECTION 1956.
