ART DECO 20” Bowl Signed FRANZ GROSZ Grozart Sand Etched Doves Leaves 1940’ For Sale

20” clear glass plate / platter / bowl featuring an etched design of a swan. The signature "Franz" is visible on the upper right side of the plate. This likely refers to Franz Art Glass, a company known for producing art glass items, including etched pieces. Art glass encompasses ornamental glassware made since the mid-19th century, often featuring unique textures and colors. The technique used to create the design is likely etching, where portions of the glass are removed to create a textured or patterned surface. This method is common in art glass production and can be seen in other works by artists like Franz Grosz. The swan motif is a classic design element often found in decorative arts, symbolizing grace and beauty.
