\"TOOLS\" Catalog No. 355, HAMMACHER, SCHLEMMER & CO. CIRCA 1900 This amazing book/catalog has been described as the \"finest and most comprehensive American tool catalog ever printed.\" The artwork is superb as well as the descriptions of thousands of tools and their accessories from large lathes to bench planes. Consists of 1147 pages. On page 468 is a fold out picture of a bench and cabinet complete with tools that sold for $85.00..with an itemized list of all the tools included. On page 710 is another fold out picture and description of \"S. J. Addis\' London Carving Tools\" with a price list. The fold out has been torn out but is still included in the book. (Please see my pictures.)
The spine of the book is strong and there are no missing pages. Sound binding and hinges intact. There has been moisture at some time to the book. There is a very small tear on the bottom of one page. (Please see the last three pictures.) No writing on any of the pages.
This book illustrates the tools and technical info that were available to craftsmen in 1900. It is truly a masterpiece!...and weighs over three pounds! It measures about 7 3/4\" x 5 1/2\" and is about 2 1/4\" thick.
