Old antique shipwright tool, caulking mallet with what looks like a lignum vitae head. The top measures 13-5/8\" and has a short 11\" handle. Its weight with handle is 2lb 10.6oz unpacked. The handle has a little play. There is a nail holding it in. It\'s not through  the head only the handle. The lignum vitae is solid but does have a few stress cracks but a nice looking old tool.
