Turn of the century 26 diameter diamond shape metal mirror/hatrack embossed with the pictures of admirals Dewey and Schley and the US warboat The Maine to commemorate notable event during the 1898 Spanish American war.
The diamond shaped mirror was also a hat rack and in many households was used it in the hallway.
Of note they made two of these commemorative mirrors were produced. One of them (smaller)at 18 inch diameter and did not have the boat the Maine featured. and the other in a 26 inch diameter. THIS MIRROR is the more rare and more valuable 26 inch version.
The original glass is intact and on cracked. The hooks are in solid shape and original. The overall shape of the mirror for its age is very good
