Up for your consideration is a beautiful, highly collectible Antique German Wire-Wrapped Tinsel Christmas Ornament. This authentic piece dates back to the late Victorian or early Edwardian era (circa 1900s–1920s) and was traditionally handcrafted in Germany for delicate feather trees.
The ornament features an intricate frame of hand-spun metallic tinsel wire. Nestled within the center are two hand-blown mercury glass beads: a vibrant small magenta/pink bead at the top loop and a larger, beautifully aged unsilvered metallic-look central bead. The bottom is finished with a wonderful long tinsel wire tassel fringe.
Measurements: Approx. 6 inches long and 4 inches across
