A very rare find indeed! Genuine antique French silk velvet upholstery fabric, a fabulous Art Nouveau pattern design of morning glories, a fabric w provenance, made and/or sold by Scheurer Lauth & Cie, Paris. Dated 1899 and in well preserved, unused condition, removed from the original large 1899 fabric sample book. Measures 33" long and 19" wide. Silk pile on a cotton ground. Fabulous colors! Shades of sea foam greens, a peachy hue and a bittersweet shade, and creams. Stunning morning glories, leaves and ferns. This rare French textile would make a grand and opulent pillow cover or hang it on the wall for a display, etc. Sturdy, supple fresh looking, selvages on both sides. Very rare to find this and a gorgeous pattern great colors and a good large size. This is all I have of this one. The tag is not included as that is from the sample book which has a few more fabrics still sewn inside. I show it for proof of the provenance of the textile.
