- This antique silver filigree Rosary with matching silver filigree hinged Rosary box is a collector's dream.
- Condition : EXCELLENT antique condition - No repairs - No Damage or dents to the precious beads or issues with the hinged box.
- Material : "ARGENT" (French for Silver) - This is most likely 80% Silver & 20% Alloy - Referred to as "Continental" or "European" silver - The "Argent" stamp indicates this lovely set was probably made in France.
- Rosary Features : 59 pierced perfectly symmetrically spherical 4 mm beads - a 2-sided Marion Holy medallion stamped "ARGENT" on the back & an ornate silver filigree Cross.
- Holy Medallion : One side of the heart shaped medallion is a left facing raised relief profile of the Blessed Virgin Mary - the reverse side of the medallion is a raised relief of Dogwood blossoms (see "Legend of the Dogwood" below*).
- Overall Hanging Length : 15.25" Long from center - 4.5" drop & 10.75" lariat - too small to place over an adult head to be worn as a necklace, more of a pocket or hand held Rosary.
- Crucifix Measurements : 1" Long x 5/8" wide.
- Rosary Box Features : Very pretty 1-1/2" round x 3/4" tall hinged jewelry box closes securely with a "click" sound - knob on top for ease of opening & closing.

* The "Legend of the Dogwood Tree" comes from a poem, by an unknown author, about the relationship between the tree & the Cross on which Jesus was crucified.
