Authentic Order of SAURIAN Revolution, was established by order of the government of TARAKI in December 24 , 1980.
The first type of order was made in the USSR , in Leningrad mint in 1979.
Just about 130 persons managed to award this order.!
The badge of the order is a rectangular gilded plate, in the center of which on red enamel background there is a relief gilded image of the coat of arms of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan ( sample 1978),and the inscription “ HALK”(in Persian) -PEAPLE.
In the front side on the order in two rows are inscriptions “ April Revolution, “ and” Peoples Democratic Republic of Afghanistan “
On the reverse side of the order 2 inscription: :”April Revolution “ and the “Peaple’s Democratic Republic “ (in Farsi)
The serial number is knocked out over the line by the points.
