“Key Facts About Skaggs Jasper Rarity
• Origin and Locality: It is an uncommon, localized variety found exclusively in Oregon, USA—specifically in the Ochoco Mountains and high desert areas surrounding Prineville in the Ochoco Forest.
Old Stock / Mined Out: Much of the material is "old stock" because historical deposits have been largely mined out for decades, making new or high-quality rough material increasingly difficult to source.
Unique Blue Coloration: It is famous for being one of the few genuinely blue and teal-to-cyan jaspers in existence (often featuring brecciated patterns, grey/cream swirling, or rare purple and white accents).” - AI Overview.
**Please check back often, as I still have many slabs and rough that I will be posting in the near future… Some from my private collection!**
NOTE: As with all rocks/slabs, there can be some fracturing. If there is, it can be viewed in the photos.
