1940's HENDRICK HUDSON COUNCILNECKERCHIEF
Founded in 1922, the Hendrick Hudson Council, which served the villages along the Hudson River Hastings north to Peekskill, New York State. The council merged in 1950 with the James Fennimore Cooper Council to form the Washington Irving Council. This makes this neckerchief/council patch no younger than 77 years old.
This is a very rare find - a colored, embroidered council strip was unheard of in the 1940's. It was not until the 1970's this type of council strip was in use. Quite possibly this is the very first of it's kind. AND a neckerchief - maybe one of a kind!
