Lot of 6 vintage New York postcards, primarily New York City, dating from approximately the 1930s–1950s, with a nice mix of architecture, restaurants, churches, skyline views, United Nations history, and New York scenery.Included are:* “Monarchs of New York City” – colorful linen-era card featuring the Chrysler Building, R.C.A. Building/Rockefeller Center and Empire State Building. This design dates to the 1930–1945 period.
* “Famous Churches of New York City” No. 113 – featuring Trinity Church, Little Church Around the Corner, Cathedral of St. John the Divine and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Curt Teich & Co. Art-Colortone, card number 6A-H2744, a design copyrighted in 1937.
* The Brass Rail, 7th Avenue at 49th Street, New York City – wonderful linen restaurant card advertising the famous Brass Rail and its Cocktail Lounge, Café, Sea Grill, London Grill and Continental Room. Designed and produced by Harry H. Baumann, New York, E-4034.
* Downtown Manhattan skyline from under the Brooklyn Bridge – vintage New York City skyline view.

* Old Storm King Highway / Hudson River area – scenic chrome postcard published by Golden Gift Shop, Highland Falls, New York, K-213-D-22.ConditionMixed vintage condition. Please review all photos carefully, as they show the actual cards included.Several of the older linen cards show fairly substantial age/storage wear, including toning, staining/discoloration and spotting to the backs, with additional corner and edge wear. The Famous Churches card is postally used with handwriting and a 1950 postmark. The United Nations card is also postally used with writing, address, stamp and 1952 UN postmark.The Old Storm King Highway card is unused and generally cleaner, with some light surface/edge wear. Overall these range from fair to good vintage condition, with the staining on several cards clearly visible in the photographs.
