Recommendations for use.
Before starting the bees in the box we fill two special compartments with fodder.
Fodder can be made of honey and sugar powder in the ratio of 1:3 (this is a proven method from Ukrainian beekeepers, but you can have your own feed).
We start the queen bee and also to her plant 4-7 bees to accompany.
The top lid is made of Plexiglas, so the bees are clearly visible. Also the lid has 2 latches for its fixation which make a special sound when it opens/closes.
To get the queen into the new hive we hang the box with the food on the bottom (because it can melt because of the high temperature in the hive and flood the box). It is advisable to release the accompanying bees before doing this. If this is not done, bees from the new hive will most likely destroy them.
Next, open the first aisle, but do not remove the feed.
To open the aisle, you need to break the plastic string that holds it. This can be done with a finger or for example with scissors (as shown in the video).
It is small so the queen bee cannot come out yet, but the bees are already getting to know her and exchanging pheromones.
On the 3rd day we open a big passageway through which the queen bee enters the new hive.
