5 WW I Mixture Antique Patriotic Postcards. Humor, Flags, Pretty Lady, Soldier
This is a nice group of PATRIOTIC antique postcards from the very early 1900s. They were published for GREETINGS as well as BEST WISHES, and they could have been used for Fourth Of July celebrations. The postcards are from the WORLD WAR I era, and they are colorful with USA flags and patriotic symbols. A number of these have a HUMOR style. These postcards are flat printed. One of them is ARTIST SIGNED.
The postcards have nice patriotic messages. One shows a smiling pretty LADY holding her dog, and this has a ROMANCE message with the soldier. There are two with children, one being a young UNCLE SAM. And, there is one that has the allies flags with the message "Victory Greetings". This one has handwritten the date "1944" on the front, and would have been for WW II celebration.
These arecollector itemsbecause of their age, their colorful design, and their overall appeal to those collecting Patriotic antique postcards. They also have a nice glimpse of life back in that era.
The postcards are UNPOSTED (3) and POSTED (2) with cancel dates in the 1915 era. Note that one has the stamp removed. These postcards have DIVIDED backs. These postcards were "Made in USA".
These are BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector.The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains, paper toning, and edge wear due to their age (over 100 years old!).The photos show the postcards and their backs.
