This is a nice selection of CHRISTMAS postcards that have the classic Christmas motifs seen on ANTIQUE postcards from the early 1900s. The postcards are well drawn and have a colorful and attractive look. These postcards have a nice seasonal feel. They are good postcards to add to a collection because of their interesting themes and how they give you a glimpse of life back in the early 1900s. They wouldappeal to collectors because they have good detail and are pleasing to look at. Overall, a niceselection of antique Christmaspostcards at a reasonable price.
These postcards show such things as: PRETTY LADIES, FAMILY, SINGING CAROLS, FASHIONABLE HATS, AUTOMOBILE, RURAL SCENES, FLOWERS, HOLLY & BERRIES and other Christmas motifs. These postcards are EMBOSSED with four having GOLD trim in the design. They come from different publishers.
The postcards are UNPOSTED (4) and POSTED (1) with a cancel date of 1909. The postcards would have been published during the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915). These were probably "Printed in Germany". They have DIVIDED backs.
These are BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector.The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains, paper toning and edge wear due to their age (some of these are over 100 years old!).The photos show the postcards and the backs.
