Purchased at a marche au peuce in Chateauroux, France in 1960 is this set of 5 (five) super antique chandelier lamp shades. Once they were covered in a bronze/gold silk fabric, lined in rosey pink silk, then embellished with metallic braid trim and passementerie silk roses ~ now, these shades are the truest form of ultra shabby chic.
The wire frames still hold the silk fabric and the rosey pink silk linings but they are now showing their 100+ years of wear and plenty of tear. There are a few holes in the outer silk, most of the rosey pink lining is gone, some metallic trim needs reglueing, and some passementerie silk roses have vanished. BUT, if you\'re a restorer, the 5 metal frames are all there.
