For you my friend I have for you an exceptional, hefty reference specimen from the historic Ozark Shaft in the Missouri Silver Mine District. Weighing in at over 5 pounds, this piece is a fantastic representation of the region\'s classic geology and comes with esteemed provenance from the legacy Byrd family collection.

The specimen features a giant block of terminated quartz seated beautifully on a dark, granular greisen matrix. It has broken naturally to form a highly aesthetic, freestanding blocky pyramid shape that displays the contact zone perfectly. Running right through the greisen is a distinct secondary veinlet, telling a great geological story of multiple hydrothermal events.

A major highlight of this piece is the topaz. While there is obvious topaz poking out in various spots across the massive quartz, there is also a protected vug hosting a beautiful secondary growth phase of tiny, highly lustrous, fully terminated micro-topaz crystals catching the light.

A heavy, historic, and incredibly complex piece for the serious locality collector.
