4 Nippon Octagon Open Salt Cellars 3 Ftd. Gold Trim Beaded Edge Hand Painted VG. For Sale

4 Nippon Octagon Open Salt Cellars 3 Ftd. Gold Trim Beaded Edge Hand Painted VG. This listing is for a lot of 4 matching open salt cellars. They are unmarked but have many characteristics of Nippon (lovely fine porcelain, 3 delicate curved feet with gold highlights, gold beaded top edge, gold trim surrounding delicate flowers). If you look carefully, I think they are hand decorated. Since they are unmarked, if they were made outside the United States (which I think they were), they had to have been imported prior to 1890 when the McKinley Tariff Act was passed. The salts measure about 1 5/8 inches across by about 1 inch tall. They are inexcellentcondition with no chips or paint wear. Please check the pictures carefully for condition and identification. They are of the actual items. All are taken with a black background. I then removed the background as I think it shows the patterns better. I would be happy to answer any questions or provide more pictures. Please see my 100% response and buy with confidence.
