The cards include French and Danish postal material, international handwriting and several different styles of early maritime postcard production.
The Lac du Bourget card depicts passenger steam-launch activity near Aix-les-Bains. The French Atlantic card presents a sunset steamship scene and bears a handwritten October 25, 1904 date. The Danish Sprogø card features a ship framed inside a lifebuoy, while the lighthouse card combines coastal navigation imagery with a passing steamship.
