Being offered are 3 Navajo Indian reference, identification, guide books. Included in the lot are 1) The Story Of Navaho Weaving by Kate Peck Kent. The book or booklet has soft covers, copyright 1961, and 47 pages. The booklet has historical and technical information on weaving, as well as color photographs of some older Navajo rugs. The covers do show age related wearing, have surface and edge wearing, scratches and abrasions in places, soiling, but intact with no rips or tears. the inside pages are all intact with no rips or tears. the booklet is approx. 10 7/8\" by 8 1/2\", next 2) is Ray Manley\'s The fine Art Of Navajo Weaving by Steve Getzwiller. The boo or booklet is a soft cover, no copyright date, and 48 pages. The booklet has color photographs of all types of Navajo rugs, all with historical information making it a great identification guide. The covers do show age and wearing with surface and edge bruises, wearing, some scuffs, and minor soiling in places. the covers are intact with no rips or tears. the booklet is approx. 12\" by 9\". and last, 3) is Southwestern Indian Arts and Crafts by KC Publications, copyright 1970, and 32 pages. The booklet does review Navajo rugs and textiles but also review other Native crafts like jewelry, fetishes, and pottery. The booklet does show wearing and rough spots. The soft covers show soiling in places, surface and edge wearing, abrasions, and creases but remain intact. the inside pages also show wearing, the upper left section looks like the pages were bent or dented, show creasing in places, but remain intact intact with no rips or tears. the booklet is approx. 9\" by 12\".
