3 ANTIQUE VICTORIAN LA MINE D’OR TRADE CARDS CHILDREN MALINES BELGIUM
Charming set of three antique Victorian advertising trade cards featuring beautifully colored chromolithograph scenes of children playing and courting amid flowers and garden landscapes.
The scenes include children playing on a swing, a young couple seated among oversized flowers, and two children playing cards while sitting on a tree branch. French captions appear along the lower edges.
The reverse of each card advertises La Mine d’Or, a shop formerly located at 26 Rue du Serment in Malines, Belgium. The store offered communion gifts, novelties, prayer books, rosaries, religious articles, jewelry, and fancy goods.
Each card measures approximately 2 1/2 inches wide by 4 inches tall.
Condition: Very nice antique condition with vivid colors and attractive imagery. There is expected light edge and corner wear, minor surface marks, age toning, and some old paper or adhesive residue on the backs. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are part of the description.
A lovely original group for collectors of Victorian trade cards, antique chromolithographs, childhood imagery, Belgian advertising, or French-language ephemera.
