🤖 Who Is General Grievous?
General Grievous is one of the most recognizable and feared villains from the Star Wars prequel era.
Serving as the supreme military commander of the Separatist Droid Army during the Clone Wars, Grievous became notorious for his hatred of the Jedi and his relentless pursuit of their destruction.
Originally a Kaleesh warrior, Grievous was transformed into a powerful cyborg, with most of his organic body replaced by advanced mechanical components.
His cybernetic enhancements gave him tremendous strength, speed, agility, and the ability to wield four lightsabers simultaneously.
Trained in lightsaber combat by Count Dooku, Grievous became a deadly opponent despite not being Force-sensitive.
He developed a reputation for collecting the lightsabers of defeated Jedi as trophies, making him one of the most intimidating adversaries faced by the Jedi Order.
Grievous played a major role in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and appeared throughout Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
His final confrontation with Obi-Wan Kenobi on Utapau remains one of the most memorable battles of the prequel trilogy.
🎙️ Matthew Wood – The Voice of General Grievous
Matthew Wood is the actor and award-winning sound professional best known for providing the voice of General Grievous in Star Wars.
Wood brought the character to life in Revenge of the Sith and continued portraying him in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
His distinctive performance gave Grievous his instantly recognizable mechanical voice, threatening delivery, and signature coughing.
Beyond his work as a voice actor, Wood has spent decades contributing to the sound design and editing of major Star Wars productions at Skywalker Sound.
His extensive involvement in the franchise makes him an especially significant autograph signer for collectors of authentic Star Wars memorabilia.
This card features his Topps-certified autograph in blue ink, providing a collectible connection to the performer behind one of the franchise’s most iconic villains.
