2020 POTUS Word From the President John F. Kennedy Relic Coin Card #09/60
Description:
This limited-edition 2020 POTUS Word From the President collector\'s card, numbered 09 out of 60, features an authentic handwritten relic with the phrase \"de le\" (meaning \"of the\"), accompanied by a Presidential dollar proof coin.
The phrase originates from a French book Kennedy used during his extensive tour of France in the summer of 1937 while studying at Harvard.
Before his presidency, John F. Kennedy served as a U. S. Navy lieutenant during World War II, famously commanding PT-109 and performing heroic rescue efforts after it was sunk. He later represented Massachusetts in the U. S. House of Representatives from 1947 to 1953 and the U. S. Senate from 1953 to 1961.
As the 35th President, Kennedy\'s administration established the Peace Corps, steered the country through the Cuban Missile Crisis, and advanced civil rights legislation and the nation\'s space policy all before his tragic assassination in Dallas, TX in November of 1963.
