2017 Fleer Ultra Spider-Man Marvel Metal MM50 Spider-Man Miles Morales Silver For Sale

2017 Upper Deck Fleer Ultra Spider-Man — Marvel Metal MM50 Spider-Man (Miles Morales) — silver insert

The closing card of the Marvel Metal insert: MM50, Spider-Man in the black-and-red suit, Miles Morales, the most-wanted silver in the fifty-card run. Miles crouches over a chrome skyline with the etched Metal logo across the bottom; the back tells the story of him taking up the mantle despite what his father might think. Raw and ungraded, pulled from a pack and kept in a sleeve.

About the set

Fleer Ultra Spider-Man returned in May 2017 as an Upper Deck product that rebuilt the four 1995 Fleer Ultra designs with all-new art: a 100-card base set, five cards to a pack, twelve packs to a hobby box, also released on ePack. The Legacy inserts, painted by Greg Hildebrandt, Bob Larkin, Simone Bianchi and Luis Royo, sit in most packs; the numbered autographs, Precious Metal Gems and comic cuts sit above them.

The sketch cards are the top of the set: hand-drawn originals from 107 artists at one in eighty packs, roughly one for every seven boxes. There is no guaranteed sketch per box, which is why this release is considered one of Upper Deck’s stronger sketch-card sets.

• Marvel Metal insert card MM50 of 50, Spider-Man, the Miles Morales version (the red-and-blue Peter Parker is MM1).
• Silver base version of the insert; not a numbered Precious Metal Gems parallel and not the Patterned achievement version.
• Etched silver foil front with the Metal logo; stat panel and story text on the back.
• Marvel Metal is the 2017 set’s tribute to 1995 Fleer Marvel Metal: fifty etched silver-foil cards, MM1 to MM50, with the character over a chrome cityscape and the Metal logo across the bottom. They fell about five or six to a hobby box. The silver is the base version of the insert; above it sit the numbered Precious Metal Gems parallels (Bronze to 199, Red to 99, Blue to 49, Green to 10, Purple to 5, Gold as a single copy) and the ePack Patterned achievement version.
