Pair of Vintage Fleetwood Hand-Painted Teacup & Saucer Sets - Occupied Japan (1945-1952)
Up for sale is a gorgeous matching pair of vintage porcelain footed teacups and scalloped saucers by Fleetwood. Both sets feature the authentic \"Fleetwood Hand Painted Made in Occupied Japan\" backstamp, dating them strictly between 1945 and 1952.
Both sets share a beautiful, soft pale buttercream-yellow base glaze and feature elaborate, high-loop ornate gold handles. One set is styled with striking cornflower-blue paneled inserts framing a central rose; the other features a solid yellow body with heavy gold scrollwork framing a vibrant mixed floral bouquet.
ITEM DETAILS & DIMENSIONS: 4 pieces total. Teacups are about 1.25 inch tall, 2 inches wide.
• Brand: Fleetwood China• Era: Occupied Japan (1945-1952)• Material: Fine Porcelain• Lot Includes: (1) Yellow/Blue Accent Teacup & Saucer, (1) All-Yellow Floral Teacup & Saucer
CONDITION REPORT:
Please read carefully before purchasing:• All-Yellow Set: Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or flea bites. Gold filigree and heavy loop handle gilding are beautifully preserved with only negligible vintage wear.• Yellow/Blue Accent Set: The saucer is in excellent condition. The teacup displays a faint, tight hairline fracture line on the inner porcelain rim near the upper handle seam (visible in photos). The cup remains sturdy and displays beautifully, but is priced accordingly due to this flaw.• Paint & Glaze: The hand-painted floral panels on both sets are vibrant, unfaded, and exceptionally clean.
Please review all high-resolution photos closely to inspect the noted hairline on the blue cup and to appreciate the stunning detail of these pieces.
