Matched pair of vintage 1950s Maruhon Ware ivory ceramic lidded urns, made in Japan.
Each features a ribbed urn-shaped body, ornate raised decoration, double handles, removable fluted lid with dimensional finial, and an elaborate square pedestal base.
Approximately 10 inches tall with lid, 5½ inches wide handle to handle, and 5 inches deep.
Both retain their Maruhon Ware / Made in Japan marks.
Sold as the matched pair.
Very good vintage condition with overall crazing consistent with age. No chips, cracks, fleabites or repairs noted. One urn has a small darkened area that appears to be a glaze skip/loss that has accumulated discoloration over time; it does not feel chipped. Both removable lids are intact. Please see close-up photo of the darkened area and all photos for exact condition.
