From a 50 year collection, I believe both cases are walnut.
One is Western Electric, the other may be older,possibly Chas Watson Shop in Boston.
The older one was the Property ofNew England Telephone & Telegraph Company.It has a serial number on one side that is hard to photograph.
They have been on a shelf for decades, they have not been used or tested.
