These never had candy in them. They were actual candy boxes for store display.
These were both from the original GOODY SHOP Ice Cream Shop in Mount Kisco, New York. These were given to me during their renovation in 1979. They had been kept for many years in a borded-up storage area underlneath one of the two front display windows.
The overall condition is excellent. However, on the smaller box there is a 1/4\" piece of the paper graphics missing. (Front bottom, far left - pictured).
And there are a very small number of tiny spots or tiny imperfections on either box.
There is a pin hole on front of large box - middle towards the left.
Almost all of the graphics have a raised , embossed feel.
Sizes:
Large box - approx: 11\" x 8\" x 1 and 3/4\"
Smaller box - almost 8\" x 5.5\" x 1.5\".
A very rare find indeed - 2 of the same box in different sizes. Both boxes are solid and sturdy.
