This listing is for a complete set of 1995 Marvel Metal Silver Flashers. Despite having the same artwork as the regular base cards, the Flashers have easily-identified optical differences:
- Card backs that are yellow and black and say \"Power Grid\".
- Card front that has a silver foil background behind each character.
- The word \"Flasher\" appearing below the \"Metal\" branding and behind the character name banner.
These cards were inserted into card packs at a ratio of 1:1. Completing this set of Flashers is one of the most daunting challenges of mid-1990s card series. Since these cards were only distributed in card packs, the raw probability of completing this set would require opening approximately 754 card packs (assuming some of those cards packs will have duplicate pulls) from 21 hobby boxes (36 packs in each hobby box).
Since card packs sell between $20 and $25 and hobby boxes sell between $600 and $1,200, you wouldn\'t want to spend anywhere from $15,000 to $25,000 trying to test the odds of completing a set (although fresh, pack-pulled cards is a peak move).
