Original factory-sealed 1991 Impel DC Cosmic Cards — Inaugural Edition trading card box.
This is the first release of Impel’s DC Cosmic Cards series, featuring heroes and villains from throughout DC Comics history, from the Golden and Silver Ages through the then-modern era.
The original Impel factory shrink wrap remains intact and is repeatedly printed with the blue Impel — FACTORY SEALED logo.
Box contents:
- 36 unopened packs
- 12 cards per pack
- 432 total cards
- Cards from the 180-card DC Cosmic Cards Inaugural Edition set
- 10 DC Hall of Fame hologram cards in the series, randomly inserted
- Original 1991 Impel release

One of the fun aspects of this release is its Hero Heritage concept, showing characters from different eras of DC Comics history and contrasting their classic and modern appearances.
The box remains completely unopened and has not been searched or tampered with.
Factory Seal / Condition
This is an original factory-sealed box with the Impel-branded shrink wrap still present.
The wrap shows light wrinkling, scuffing and normal storage wear from more than 30 years of age. The box itself has minor edge/corner wear visible beneath the wrap. It is not being represented as a flawless investment-grade box, but overall it presents very nicely for an original sealed 1991 example.
The factory shrink wrap has not been removed, repaired or replaced.
