A little history
Little Golden Book Land was a 1989 Western Publishing project featuring characters from the classic Little Golden Books. Other Little Golden Book Land merchandise from this period is known, including books, toys and other promotional/children’s items.
I have been unable to locate another example of this exact Enesco metal tin in readily available online listings. There is another 1989 Little Golden Book Land metal box currently listed online that the seller describes as a vendor sample, but I am not claiming that this particular tin is a vendor sample or prototype, since the original retail sticker on this example indicates that this piece was actually offered through retail.
That distinction is important, and I want the listing to accurately represent what is known about this unusual piece.
Condition

A very unusual piece for a Little Golden Book, Enesco, Golden Books or vintage children’s collectible enthusiast.
Please ask any questions before purchasing. I am happy to provide additional photographs or measurements.
