This is an original press photo. Jim Greenwith items from his submarine the Spikefish. The submarine crew haven't forgotten their contributions to the American victory or the bonds formed during long months at sea. Nationally, an organization called US Submarine Veterans brings old shipmates together for yearly conventions. Locally, Jim Green of wales does his part by publishing a newsletter for veterans of his submarine, the USS Spikefish, on which he served during the big war. His newsletter's circulation extends far beyond his 80 crewmates. Green is interested in men who served aboard the sub at any time it was in commission.The Spikefish ended its career in 1964 as a torpedo target, and now rests at the bottom of Long Island Sound.
