1985 NASA MSFC LOCKHEED HUBBLE SPACE TELESCOPE KODAK ASSEMBLY PHOTOS-7+LETTER For Sale

This recent find is from the Estate of a Retired NASA Aerospace Engineer who worked on Apollo through Space Shuttle Missions. He served as Project and Deputy Director/Manager over multiple key programs including the Hubble Space Telescope receiving multiple Exceptional and Leadership Service Medals with one being for the Lunar Rover Vehicle/Skylab. This listing is for a 1985 Set of 7 NASA MSFC/LOCKHEED HUBBLE SPACE TELESCOPE (HST) ORIGINAL (THIS PAPER MANUFACTURED BY KODAK) PHOTOS (taken in the clean room at Lockheed Missiles and Space Company) and accompanying letter dated May 13, 1985 plus envelope with details below:

• P33-4/85 - MATING SSM-ES TO OTA
• P34-4/85 - MOVING SSM-ES/OTA FROM INTEGRATION SUPPORT STAND TO VATS
• P35-4/85 - MATING FORWARD SHELL TO SSM-ES
• P36-4/85 - MATING LIGHT SHIELD TO FORWARD SHELL
• P37-4/85 - MATING OTA-ES TO SSM-ES
• P38-4/85 - REINSTALLING HST INTO VATS AFTER AFT SHROUD MATE

Hubble was assembled and ready for launch, however due to the Challenger accident, it was delayed and launched in 1990. Photos (8.5x11) and letter are in Excellent overall condition with very minimal age/use and storage wear. Envelope has some creasing/storage wear.
