• The map opens to a wall-size42" x 59" and was produced by the National Geophysical Data Center,National Oceanic andAtmospheric Administration (NOAA) for the Geothermal and HydropowerTechnologiesDivision, United States Department of Energy.
• The geothermal datawas compiled and interpreted by Henry P. Heasler, with assistance fromB.S. Hinckley,K.C. Buelow, S.A. Spencer, and E.R. Decker of the Department of Geologyand Geophysics,University ofWyoming, Laramie.
• The map is drawn on a scale of 1:500,000 andincludes Yellowstone National Park, in size and variety of its thermalfeaturesunsurpassed by any area in the world, with more than 10,000 identifiedgeysers,hot springs, and fumaroles.
• There are tables of measured temperature gradients,organizedby county, as well as lists of thermal springs (except Yellowstonearea) and selected thermal wells, as well as Indian reservations,national forests, airports, and principal roads.
• Condition: The map is in very good condition,bright and clean, with a tiny repaired tear in the upper margin and nomarks or writing. It folds to 8½" x 10" and is blank on the back, withnoprinting on the reverse side. Please see the scans and feel free to askany questions.
