• This map opens to 18" x 27" and has great detail on old street andhighwayalignments, with cartography by H.M. Gousha.
• The indexed street map of Louisville is on one side, covering the areafrom New Albany to Iroquois Park and Woodhaven Country Club. Sectionsof I-64 and I-264 are shown as under construction.
• The map of Jefferson County is on the other side, along with an indexto suburban roads and an inset of central Louisville, locating UnionStation, County Jail, Filson Club (now the Filson Historical Society),and the Belle of Louisville.
• The map was distributed in 1970 by the Standard Oil Company of Kentuckyto promote its Chevron brand. It is dated in the legend, and the codenumber in the lower margin is 8-RR.
• Condition: This map is in very good, lightly usedcondition, with no rips or tears. There are a fewminor wrinkles, and a previousowner has marked a route from Shawnee Park to Bardstown Road. Pleasesee the scans and feel free to ask any questions.
