1970 Press Photo US Army 25th Infantry Capture North Vietnamese by Hubert Van Es For Sale

1970 Vintage Wire Press Photo by ASSOCIATED PRESS PHOTOGRAPHER HUBERT VAN ES.A GI with the United States 25th Infantry Division cautiously watches a wounded enemy soldier approach from the underbrush after a short firefight in the Tuol Sangke area in Cambodia, 70 miles northwest of Saigon. The papers carried by the enemy soldier and three others indicated they were North Vietnamese.
In South Vietnam, South Vietnamese forces with American advisors and air support launched a new offensive into Cambodia from the central highlands, the South Vietnamese Defense Ministry announced Thursday night.
Hubert van Es was a Dutch photographer and photojournalist who took the well-known photo on 29 April 1975, which shows South Vietnamese civilians scrambling to board a CIA Air America helicopter during the U.S. evacuation of Saigon. The picture was taken a day before the Fall of Saigon.Photo is Dated: May 15, 1970.
