Unloading of merchandise is authorized on the right side of the traffic flow in Vieux Carre streets. No parking anytime signs dominate the left side, but apparently these truck drivers didn't notice the printed prohibited parking. This was the scene Tuesday afternoon is the 300 block of Chartres street. One year ago Police Superintendent Joseph I. Giarrusso announced the start of a continuing crackdown on illegally parked vehicles in the French Quarter. The two wagons were ready and policemen had an ample supply of ticket books.
