Photos 6, 7 and 8 show the first three pages of the eight page story of Minnesota, The First 100 years. Photo # 8 shows the previous owners name of Dorothy Nissen on the inside cover page. Photo # 9 shows the photo of Dorothy Nissen, who is located in the 2nd row up from the bottom and 3rd picture from the left. Photo # 10 shows the first page of all the students attending the University in 1951. So its easy for me to look up a name. Photo # 11 shows an advertisement from the Minneapolis & St. Paul Railway, congratulating the University on the 100 year anniversary. The Minneapolis, St. Paul and Sault Ste. Marie Railroad was a Class One subsidiary of the Canadian Pacific Railway in the Midwestern United States. Commonly known since its opening in 1884 as the Soo Line, after the phonetic spelling of Sault, it was merged with several other major Canadian Pacific subsidiaries in 1961 to form the Soo Line Railroad. Photo # 12 shows an advertisement for Minneapolis Moline Tractor Equipment. Photo # 12 shows an advertisement for Minneapolis Moline Tractors, which was a large tractor and farm and industrial machinery producer based in Minneapolis and Hopkins, Minnesota. The company was a merger of three companies in 1929: Minneapolis Steel and Machinery, which was noted for its Twin City Tractors, Minneapolis Threshing Machine Company, which also produced Minneapolis tractors and the Moline Implement Company, formerly known as the Moline Plow Company.
