Up for purchase is this charming vintage mid-century ceramic figurine of a musical nun. Produced in Japan during the 1950s to 1960s by Lenwile Ardalt Artware (and distributed by boutique brands like Lefton and Kelvin Exclusives), this kitschy collectible features a Roman Catholic sister blissfully singing while playing a violin. It is beautifully accented with bright gold detailing on the violin body, the bow, her rosary beads, and her hanging crucifix.
CONDITION NOTES (PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING):
This figurine is being sold strictly AS IS due to prominent paint flaking, making it an ideal piece for a restoration project or a collector who loves authentic vintage patina.
* There is noticeable paint chipping and flaking on the cold-painted black enamel finish, primarily concentrated along the front and side folds of her lower habit dress. This exposes the white ceramic base underneath.
* Structurally, the piece is in good condition. The highly fragile violin neck and bow are 100% intact with no cracks, breaks, or re-glued repairs.
* The face, cowl, and gold accents remain clean with minimal surface wear.
DIMENSIONS:
* Approximately 4.5 inches tall.
Please study all photographs carefully to review the paint flaking on the dress. We wrap all fragile vintage ceramics with expert care using professional bubble wrap for safe delivery. Thank you for looking!
