Overview: Lot of two original "The Tatler" yearbooks from Memorial High School, Hardyville, Kentucky (Hart County): the 1949 edition with its gold art deco globe cover, and the 1950 edition with its blue lightning bolt and Kentucky map cover. Both were signed by the same previous owner, W. E. Vance of Canmer, Ky. Inside you'll find class and staff pages, basketball squads and cheerleaders, snapshot collages, and local business ads from Canmer, Munfordville, Uno, Hardyville, Glasgow, Magnolia and Cave City. A great pair for Hart County history, genealogy, or Kentucky yearbook collectors.
Condition & Flaws: Both are used and show their age.
1949: Gold cloth cover is toned and worn, with fraying at the spine ends. Water and age staining on the endpapers and some interior pages, including the staff and administration spread. Red crayon scribbles on the front endpapers.
1950: Blue cloth cover shows rubbing and a crease near the lower corner, and the top of the spine is worn. Toning and staining on the endpapers, and yellowing along the page edges. Binding thread is visible at the gutter in places, and the book opens and reads fine.
