Notable Figures in the 1947 Handbook
Warren "Ruby" Ruby (Faculty/Art): Though a faculty member rather than a student, he is a local legend. He is the artist responsible for the "M" and mascot artwork on your cover. He taught at Mason City High for decades and is a celebrated Iowa artist; the school's "Mohawk Hall of Fame" and local art galleries frequently feature his work.
