Condition, Mechanics & Fuel Fount:

This lantern is in Very Good, completely honest vintage condition. The galvanized steel wire cage and frame are remarkably straight and structurally sound, showing no major dents, crushed loops, or bent struts. The metal surface features a beautiful, clean weathered silver/gray patina.

• MECHANICALLY FUNCTIONAL: The original Adlake No. 300 burner mechanism has been tested. The wick adjustment wheel turns freely and smoothly, successfully raising and lowering the cotton wick without binding.

• SOLID, LEAK-PROOF POT: The bottom base of the fuel fount is in spectacular shape. It is completely solid, incredibly smooth, and free of any rust rot, pinholes, or structural breaches. It is ready to safely hold fuel.

• HOOD & GLASS: The top smoke hood hinge operates smoothly, revealing intact internal wind-deflector baffle plates. The clear glass Kopp globe is free of cracks or major chips with zero heavy soot staining.

An exceptional, unmodified, fully operational historical survivor perfect for Milwaukee Road enthusiasts, railroadiana collectors, or rustic industrial decor. Please review all high-resolution photos to verify completeness and cosmetic condition prior to offerding or purchasing.
