A special printing of the Hotel Roanoke\'s menu celebrating 60 years of service of J. Ed. Brown. Mr. Brown beautifully signed in blue ink and dated 6-20-42 both the congratulatory and a traditional menu. Mr. Brown was a member of the staff at the opening of the hotel in 1882.
He is considered a significant historical figure within the hotel\'s long history, recognized for his extensive and faithful service.
The only other one I found is in the History Museum of Western Virginia.
Both menus are clean and unstained with just some minor edge and corner wear consistent with age and storage.
The special printed menu measures approximately 8 1/2\" x 11\" folded closed. 17x11 open. The regular menu measures approximately 7 1/2\" x 10 1/2\" folded closed. 12 3/4\" x 10 1/2\" open.
