An original vintage black and white photograph of a smiling African American toddler seated in a steel pedal car styled after a late-1930s automobile, on a residential sidewalk. Period cars line the street behind — including a late-1930s/early-1940s two-door sedan parked at the right — with houses and trees along the block, and even the photographer\'s shadow in the corner. A charming street scene and a fine piece of Black Americana vernacular photography.
The photograph measures 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches. The back is Kodak Velox paper, stamped \"317\"; there is no other writing on the front or back.
