Offered is an original 1937 Montana Highway Map, published by the Montana State Highway Department and featuring the work of Montana artist Irvin “Shorty” Shope.
This is an authentic vintage folding map from 1937 — not a modern reproduction.
The map opens to approximately 17" x 22" and contains a detailed map of Montana's early highway system, towns, roads, historic trails and landmarks. The reverse/cover side includes the original illustrated Montana travel artwork and historical information.
CONDITION:
This map is approximately 89 years old and shows appropriate age and handling wear. There is overall age toning/discoloration and some foxing/staining. The original fold lines show wear from decades of being folded and unfolded. There is general edge and paper wear consistent with its age.
The map is complete, and the major artwork, printing and map details remain clearly visible.
