Up for sale is a rare, authentic vintage souvenir from the 1933–1934 Chicago World\'s Fair (\"A Century of Progress\").
This lot includes the Art Deco pressed-copper ashtray featuring the embossed Chrysler Motors pavilion design, along with its incredibly hard-to-find original yellow illustrated mailer box. The box features bold period graphics and the iconic Chrysler fair slogan: \"Where friends meet.\"
The back of the box was originally designed as a self-mailer so fairgoers could send it directly to friends or family as a postcard souvenir. Finding these complete with the original packaging intact is highly collectible.
Condition Details:
• Ashtray: In very good vintage condition. It features a beautiful, natural aged copper patina. No deep gouges or warping.
• Box: In good structural shape. The graphic side is bright with minor shelf wear along the edges and corners as expected for an item over 90 years old.
