An Art Deco table lamp with a pale celadon sculpture of a rearing porcelain horse leaping above cresting ocean waves, a nod to Poseidon\'s mythological horses. The statue is likely designed and made in Germany in the 1920s-30s.
It\'s set in a metal mount painted in what seems to be its original matte warm gold. The mount\'s base is painted celadon. The socket and likely the metal mount are American. The bottom is felted. The harp and finial, which seem original, are included.
In very good vintage condition, with no damage to the porcelain that I\'ve observed. The gold paint on the mount is surprisingly largely intact; the celadon paint on the mount\'s base has some scuffing. The rod is a bit loose in its socket and will need tightening. Tested and works.
